Step 6 – The Cycle Process Begins
Get clarity on the egg donation cycle, including medication schedules, monitoring, retrieval, and embryo development, supported by J. Baby throughout the process.
The Sixth Step in Your J. Baby Egg Donor Journey
Reaching Step 6 – The Cycle Begins means all preparation is complete and your donor is ready to begin medications leading to egg retrieval and embryo creation.
This stage is carefully coordinated between your IVF clinic, your donor, and the J. Baby team to ensure safety, precision, and success.
What This Step is Really Designed To Do
This step:
- Begins your donor’s medication protocol
- Monitors progress through ultrasounds and bloodwork
- Determines the optimal egg retrieval window
- Leads directly to embryo creation
- Marks the final major milestone before transfer planning
How the Cycle Works
Cycle Calendar
Your Nurse Coordinator provides a detailed Cycle Calendar outlining medication schedules, monitoring appointments, and the tentative retrieval date.
Medication & Monitoring
Over the next 10–14 days, your donor undergoes regular monitoring while medications are adjusted to support optimal follicle development.
Egg Retrieval
Once ready, egg retrieval is performed as a brief outpatient procedure. Eggs are collected and fertilized using your selected sperm source.
Your clinic provides embryology updates as embryos develop.
Why This Step Matters
The cycle phase is the culmination of all prior preparation. It transforms planning into possibility and brings you closer to building your family.
Ready for What Comes Next?
After retrieval, your clinic will guide you through embryo development updates and next steps for transfer or future planning.
If you have questions at any point, the J. Baby team is here to support you.
