What Happens Before You Meet Your Potential Surrogate

Months before you’re introduced, J. Baby conducts a comprehensive, multi-layered screening process to ensure every surrogate in our program meets the highest standards.

Background Check

We review legal and personal history to ensure reliability, safety, and stability.

Psychological Evaluation

Each surrogate completes a thorough psychological evaluation conducted by a licensed mental health professional experienced in third-party reproduction.

Clinical Health Review

We carefully review her full medical history, including:

• Records from all previous pregnancies
• Labor and delivery documentation
• Relevant medical screenings

This ensures she is physically prepared and medically appropriate for surrogacy.

Personal Connection and Character Assessment

We personally get to know every surrogate in our program. We look for strong character, emotional maturity, household support, lifestyle stability, and a genuine desire to help Intended Parents build their family.

Only women who meet all of these criteria move forward to the match pool.

Your Surrogate Profile Review

Before agreeing to a virtual meeting, you’ll receive a detailed surrogate profile that includes:

• Personal background and family information
• Photos and lifestyle insights
• Educational and work history
• Medical history summary
• Her motivation for becoming a surrogate
• Communication style and personality traits

Together, we’ll also review the Estimate of Cost Sheet, which clearly outlines her base compensation and any additional benefits included in her package.

This stage ensures you have a clear, complete understanding of the woman you may be partnering with.

The Virtual Introduction

Once you’ve reviewed the profile and feel aligned, we arrange a virtual introduction. This guided meeting gives both sides the opportunity to:

• Connect naturally
• Ask questions
• Discuss expectations and comfort levels
• Understand communication preferences
• Get a sense of each other’s personalities

If both you and the surrogate express enthusiasm and alignment after this conversation, the match is officially confirmed.
